Triple Chocolate Cookies

These cookies have a soft cake-like texture.

Ingredients

Triple Chocolate Cookies3 (1 ounce each) squares unsweetened chocolate
1/2 cup butter
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
3/4 cup white sugar
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2/3 cup sour cream
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup white chocolate chips

Directions

  1. In microwave or double boiler, mekt chocolate squares and butter together.
  2. In a small bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  3. In mixer bowl, combine eggs, sugars and vanilla, and beat until light. Blend in chocolate mixture.
  4. Stir in dry ingredients, alternating with sour cream. Stir in chocolate chips.
  5. Drop by rounded teaspoons onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 375 degrees F.
  6. Allow to cool slightly on the cookie sheet and then remove to rack to cool completely.

Notes

You can vary the additions to your taste, instead of white and semi-sweet chocolate chips - e.g. all white or all semi- sweet chips, nuts, dried cranberries or cherries.
