Triple Chocolate Cookies
These cookies have a soft cake-like texture.
Ingredients
3 (1 ounce each) squares unsweetened chocolate
1/2 cup butter
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
3/4 cup white sugar
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2/3 cup sour cream
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup white chocolate chips
Directions
- In microwave or double boiler, mekt chocolate squares and butter together.
- In a small bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
- In mixer bowl, combine eggs, sugars and vanilla, and beat until light. Blend in chocolate mixture.
- Stir in dry ingredients, alternating with sour cream. Stir in chocolate chips.
- Drop by rounded teaspoons onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 375 degrees F.
- Allow to cool slightly on the cookie sheet and then remove to rack to cool completely.
Notes
You can vary the additions to your taste, instead of white and semi-sweet chocolate chips - e.g. all white or all semi- sweet chips, nuts, dried cranberries or cherries.
