Oma’s Salad Dressing

Ingredients 

1 tbsp. finely chopped onion
3/4 cup vinegar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp. Vegeta
1/2 garlic powder
1/2 tsp. Maggi Seasoning

Directions 

  1. Combine all above ingredients and stir.
  2. Then add slightly over a 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil. Whisk quickly to emulsify.

Notes 

For best results make salad an hour ahead of serving and let crunchy veggies, like carrots, broccoli, celery and peppers marinate in the dressing, with lettuce resting undressed on top. Toss just before serving.
